Jamaica Inn Celebrates the 2024 Teddy Tucker Scholarship Recipients
The Jamaica Inn Foundation is thrilled to announce the 2024 recipients of the Teddy Tucker Scholarship Fund, established in loving memory of Herbert “Teddy” Tucker. Teddy, affectionately known as the heart of our Beach Bar for 62 years, touched the lives of countless guests and team members with his warmth, charm, and dedication.
In honour of Teddy’s legacy, the Teddy Tucker Scholarship Fund helps Jamaica Inn families provide education and training for children pursuing careers in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry.
Meet the 2024 Teddy Tucker Scholarship Recipients
- Sheniqua McGregor – The Queen’s High School. Sheniqua is motivated to be a cardiologist, focusing on health and compassionate care.
- Adejah Hines – Fern Court High School. Adejah envisions becoming an entrepreneur, combining art and business to share her creativity.
- Jahnaiyah Salmon – Tomlinson Christian Academy. Jahnaiyah, aspiring to be a teacher, is inspired by a love for learning and sharing knowledge.
- Devontae Dabriel – Munro College. Devontae dreams of being a pilot, reflecting his fascination with aviation and exploration.
- Aysia Hylton – Marymount High School. Aysia aims to become a scientist, driven by curiosity and a passion for innovation.
Each of these outstanding students reflects Teddy’s values of dedication, passion, and excellence. The Jamaica Inn Foundation remains committed to empowering future leaders and making a lasting impact.
