Ocean Spa Homemade Brown Sugar Scrub Recipe
- 2 cups brown sugar (Coarse sugar will give you a coarser scrub and fine sugar will give you fine scrub)
- 1 cup solid (but soft) coconut oil
- Extra additions (vanilla extract, essential oils if available)
Whip together the sugar, oil, and additives until the mixture looks creamy. You may use a food processor or simply use a bowl to mix, do not process too long, this will cause coconut oil to melt and the mixture will separate. If this happens, place it in the freezer for a few minutes to solidify and mix again.
Homemade Face Mask
- 1 medium banana
- ¼ cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey
Puree ripe banana into a smooth paste, add ¼ cup of plain yogurt and 2 tablespoons honey, mix until all the ingredients are combined, then gently apply it to your face and neck. Let it set for 10 to 20 minutes, then rinse it off with cold water.

Pamper your hands with this simple homemade therapy with coconut oil and cream to restore beauty and suppleness. This moisturizing treatment promotes healthy, strong, brittle free nails and leaves the skin soft and smooth.
- 1 oz Coconut Oil
- 1 whole coconut (2 cups Coconut Milk)
- ½ cup coconut trash after the juice is extracted
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Chop and blend coconut and extract the juice, combine ½ cup of the coconut trash, 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1/2 oz coconut oil to make a scrub. Apply the mixture to both hands and massage gently from the elbows down to the back and palm of your hands for approximately 5 minutes. Immerse your hands in a bowl with 2 cups of warm coconut milk, soak for 10 minutes.
Use a clean towel to dry your hands, use the remainder of coconut oil to massage your hands from your elbows to the tip of your fingers, paying special attention to the cuticles and nails.
